Job Description

The downtown Fort Worth law firm of Bourland, Wall & Wenzel is seeking a full-time Floater Legal Assistant. This is an exciting and challenging position with the opportunity to gain knowledge in every practice of our full-service law firm. This position requires strong reading, writing, editing, and organizational skills. Responsibilities include direct communication with attorneys and clients, document drafting, proofing and various administrative responsibilities. Additionally, the candidate will assist with copies, scans, filing, acts as backup to other legal secretaries to support additional attorneys or paralegals when necessary to assist with overflow work and answering phones for assistants, as needed.

Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to take initiative on projects.

Successful candidates will have:

· Prior secretarial and/or legal experience (preferred)

· Strong verbal, written skills including strong command of spelling, punctuation, and grammar

· Interpersonal skills to maintain strong client and co-worker relationships

· Organization, planning, and attention to detail

· College degree (required)

· Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook (required)-ability to edit and format documents so they have a high-quality level of appearance and grammatical content

· Other Required Skills: Typing, transcription, and excellent telephone skills
