About the Role:
Pacific Resident Theatre Ensemble is looking for an enthusiastic and personable Box Office Assistant to join our team in Venice, CA! This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant theatre community, serving as the first point of contact for patrons and helping bring the magic of live performance to our audiences.
Responsibilities:
Process ticket sales, reservations, and exchanges in person, by phone, and online
Provide exceptional customer service to patrons before, during, and after performances
Manage box office software and maintain accurate ticketing records
Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily reconciliation of sales
Assist with will-call, group sales, and subscription patron inquiries
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth patron flow on performance nights
Respond to patron inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
Prior customer service, box office, or ticketing experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, welcoming demeanor
Comfortable handling cash transactions and point-of-sale systems
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by performance schedule
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Passion for theatre and the performing arts is a plus
Proficiency with basic computer applications and ticketing software
