Boyd's Electrical Service, Inc. has an immediate opening for an individual to fill the role of Project Manager, at our Phillips NE. location near Grand Island, NE. Boyd's Electrical Service, Inc. is a successful and growing electrical contractor, servicing Nebraska and areas of surrounding states. Headquartered in Clearwater NE, we are family owned and operated, and have been in business for over 35 years. We have shop locations in Clearwater and Phillips (Grand Island) Nebraska. Our main focus is industrial electrical, with an emphasis on agricultural industries such as grain elevators, feed mills, fertilizer plants, and livestock facilities. We are searching for a candidate with Project Management experience, essentially somebody that has been around successful projects for many years and is familiar with how they evolve from an idea, to design, build, and ultimately customer satisfaction via a complete project with loose ends tied up, and all aspects operational as they should be. A successful candidate will have past experience to help them know when a project is on solid ground and when there is trouble ahead. Ideally, applicants for this position will have solid knowledge of electrical projects and the National Electrical Code, to allow them to best develop solutions for our customers and best support the electricians in the field doing the work. We believe in keeping the communication channels close between the customer and the field electricians, to best ensure that customer desires are properly executed in the build. Required attributes of a successful Project Manager candidate include: -Great communication skills through various means, including telephone, email, text, and a desire to be available for questions or concerns. -Past experience with project scheduling, understanding timelines from other trades, and when their work schedules are reasonable or not. -Creative thinking, of ways to improve the work situation for the field electricians, through detailed project planning, aligning of work from other trades, etc.....working to create a clear and quick path forward for them. -Purchasing skills, developing relationships with vendors, both to secure material efficiently for projects, and for project quotations. -Organization skills, working to organize project schedules, timelines, etc as well as your own work. Desired attributes of a successful Project Manager candidate include: -Estimating skills, with the ability to assist in bidding projects and jobs. -Knowledge of Electrical or Industrial project management, including the National Electrical Code.
