    The STAFF ACCOUNTANT II is a member of the Accounting Department and performs various accounting and financial functions, including providing guidance on accounting and finance matters, and special projects related to accounting/financial issues and functional areas of support. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    Utilize the General Ledger module to prepare journal entries after analyzing and validating financial information.  

    Perform General Ledger reconciliations on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting; including, but not limited to:

    • Investments
    • Payroll
    • Debt related transactions

    Develop and enhance procedures related to own duties and responsibilities.

    Annually review policies and procedures for the department to ensure compliance with regulatory statutes, and for completeness within the department.

    Provide guidance to Staff Accountant I for policies, procedures, and basic accounting principles and issues.

    Ability to work independently, or team-based, as needed, with minimal instruction and guidance in a fast-paced corporate office environment.

    Adhere to strict confidentiality protocol in all matters pertaining to fiscal and payroll information.

    Organize, prioritize and track multiple action items.

    Responsibility for portions of monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting as assigned.

    Preparation of schedules and documentation for the annual audit, budget and annual tax filings.

    Other duties as assigned.

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS). To succeed in the STAFF ACCOUNTANT II position, candidates should possess the following KSAs:
      • REQUIRED
        • Two to three years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience;
        • Superior attention to detail along with superior organizational and time-management skills;
        • Ability to balance competing priorities and adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines;
        • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
      • PREFERRED
        • Experience conducting oral presentations, facilitating training and preparing written reports and training guides;
          • Knowledge of governance, risk and compliance programs and systems, and how to design and maintain a database with a governance, risk and compliance framework; and
          • Knowledge of risk assessment design and delivery; control design, implementation and monitoring, and key metric development, tracking, and reporting.
      • Background Experiences- The following are required unless otherwise noted:
        • BS/BA in ACCOUNTING/FINANCE or similar related field.
          • Minimum 2-3 years of related experience in a similar role.
          • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred.

     

    This is a full-time, exempt position currently REMOTE until at least February 1st, 2021. It will be located in the Company’s West Chester office once COVID restrictions are lifted; the incumbent is expected to be present and accessible for at least 40 hours per week, subject to approved leave time, travel and other absences as described in the Employee Handbook or as otherwise agreed by the Company.  The Company’s standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm.

    • Bachelor Degree in Accounting upon graduation
    • 0-2 years experience in public accounting
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 overall and in major
    • Preferred 150 credit hours
