Director of Human Resources Full-Time, Exempt Location: Admin Office (3900 Crittenden Drive, Louisville, KY 40209) + Hybrid Schedule Available Reports to: President & CEO Schedule: Monday-Friday + Flexible Schedule Available Compensation: $62,500-$70,000About Us Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana (BGCK) is an out-of-school time provider, offering a safe haven for youth who need us most. Essential Job Responsibilities The Director of Human Resources plans, leads, directs, develops, and coordinates the policies and activities of the Human Resources (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
Oversees the administration of human resource programs, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; training and development.
Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, engagement, and retention.
Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resources compliance and strategy needs.
Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s HR Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Monitors and ensures compliance with deferral, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices. Review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory change, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to senior management.
Develops and implements departmental budget.
Additional Responsibilities
May be required to drive a Club vehicle as needed
Travel between Clubs and/or the Admin Office for trainings and meetings
All other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements of the Work Environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced and loud environment
Ability to continuously stand and move around the Club
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
Ability to navigate stairs (if located at our Parkland or California Clubs)
Qualifications
Education
High School degree or G.E.D. is required
College degree from an accredited college or university is required
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is highly preferred
Work Experience
At least five years of human resources management experience required

A passion and understanding of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of BGCK
