    Location: Admin Office (3900 Crittenden Drive, Louisville, KY 40209)

    Pay: $19.25/hour

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    The Government Grants Coordinator is responsible for leading and directing government funding that supports and advances the mission and strategic objectives of the organization. This individual will submit proposals, compile data, and produce reports to internal and external groups. This individual will be responsible for developing and fostering meaningful strategic relationships to maintain funding and secure new funding as well as represent the organization to external partners.

    · Research potential government grant revenue sources

    · Identify, develop, write, and submit funding proposals to governmental entities in collaboration with appropriate staff

    · Monitor national, state, and local demographic and human service trends, determine potential organizational impact, and communicate information to key personnel

    · Compile competitive intelligence on peer and like agencies, creating a collaborative content library to inform planning – program, service, strategic, ready response, etc.

    · Establishes checklists and timetables to meet deadlines. Strive to make the grant management processes as efficient and effective as possible.

    · Maintains up-to-date and accurate database of proposal and reporting due dates, keeping relevant staff informed of upcoming deadlines and ensuring on-time and complete follow through on all government grant applications, RFPs and reports on awarded grants.

    · Maintains accurate and complete electronic and hard copies of grant files and data.

    · Tracks current government grant cycles to ensure continuous funding where applicable.

    · Ensures timely project reporting, in collaboration with the Grants Manager, CFO, and VP of Operations

    Additional Responsibilities

    · Travel between clubs and the admin office for trainings and meetings.

    · All other duties as assigned.

    Physical Requirements of the Work Environment

    · Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.

    · Ability to navigate stairs (if located at our Parkland Club).

    Qualifications

    · Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University

    · A minimum of two years’ work experience in the development and administration of government funding

    · A minimum of two years’ work experience at a non-profit organization

    · Demonstrated experience in resource planning, resource development, writing, time and information management

    · In-depth experience and knowledge in identifying and working with funding and data sources

    · Possesses the ability to make decisions and recommendations based upon complex information and the ability to communicate these clearly and effectively to other professional staff

    · A passion and a strong understanding of the Boys & Girl Club mission

    · Ability to maintain a positive, friendly, and cooperative attitude in the workplace

    · High ethical standards

    · Strong communication skills, both oral and written

    · Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal staff and external contacts.
