    Full-Time, Exempt

    Location: Administration

    Reports to: Vice President of Resource Development

    Schedule: Monday-Friday

    Compensation: $50,000-$55,000

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    The Marketing & Special Events Manager is responsible for providing support and coordination of opportunities to build public awareness of Club services, programs, and activities through special events and marketing.

    · Marketing

    o Social Media

    § Stay up to date with social media best practices

    § Measure the success of social media campaigns

    § Manage and coordinate all social media posts

    § Partner with appropriate staff to create a social media strategy

    § Collaborate with Clubs and other departments to ensure content is informative and meeting the needs of the organization

    o Media Relations

    § Prepare articles and press releases for the media

    § Ensure the organization protects and promotes its image in a proper, coordinated, and consistent manner

    § Cultivate and enhance collaborative relationships with the press and publicity community

    § Manage the flow of news about the organization to the media

    § Gather and disseminate timely information to press and staff

    § Create effective communicate channels between the media and appropriate staff

    § Plan and oversee press events

    § Assemble press kits

    § Compose and edit press releases, company literature, and articles for internal and external use

    § Coordinate and attend media visits at Clubs

    § Provide Club tours when needed

    o Marketing & Graphic Design

    § Continuously maintain the organization’s brand aesthetics, internally and externally

    § Maintain brand standards and style

    § Design marketing materials, brochures, flyers, posters, email signatures, business cards

    § Maintain and improve Company website

    § Coordinate any third party marketing services when applicable

    o Giving Campaigns

    § Plan and implement the annual Giving Campaigns and ensure deadlines and fundraising goals are met

    § Current annual Giving Campaigns include: Giving Tuesday, Great Futures, Give for Good, KY Gives Day

    · Special Events

    o This individual oversees all aspects of the organization’s fundraising events, including:

    § Creates and manages an annual event plan and calendar

    § Manages all deadlines and tasks for events

    § Leads all event planning and production meetings

    § Creates and leads the solicitation of event sponsorships

    § Secures guest speakers and entertainment for events; reviews speeches, writes scripts, coordinates rehearsals

    § Negotiates costs and services with vendors; books event space, arranges food and beverage, orders all supplies and decorations, coordinates audiovisual equipment and operation

    § Organizes and manages the invitation, registration, and attendee check-in processes

    § Secures volunteers when necessary

    § Manages the follow-up with donors, vendors, sponsors, and staff members following each event

    § Tracks event finances including check requests, invoicing, credit card payments, and reporting

    § Evaluates the potential to convert special event donors to annual fund donors

    Additional Responsibilities

    · May be required to drive a Club vehicle as needed

    · Travel between Clubs and/or the Admin Office for trainings and meetings

    · All other duties as assigned

    Physical Requirements of the Work Environment

    · Ability to work in a fast-paced and loud environment

    · Ability to continuously stand and move around the Club

    · Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally

    · Ability to navigate stairs (if located at our Parkland or California Clubs)

    Qualifications

    · Education

    o High School degree or G.E.D. is required

    o College degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

    · Work Experience

    o At least two years of experience in marketing and planning/implementing high level non-profit fundraising events

    · Skills

    o A passion and understanding of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of BGCK

    o Ability to maintain a positive, friendly, and cooperative attitude in the workplace

    o High ethical standards

    o Strong communication skills, both oral and written

    o Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal staff and external partners

    o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    o Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

    o Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills

    o Strong supervisor and leadership skills

    o Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees

    o Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

    o Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

    o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite ‘

    o Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS and ATS
