The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington (BGCSWWA or Clubs) is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, year-round Membership Specialist (Front Desk) at our OK Clubhouse location at 4040 Plomondon St.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT - MEMBERSHIP SPECIALIST - COVID-19 SUPPORT
RESPONSIBILITIES
With supervision from the Club Director, the Membership Specialist – COVID-19 Support will:
Be responsible for daily front desk operations, including but not limited to:
Maintaining and inputting accurate membership, financial and attendance records.
Answering the telephone and responding to e-mail.
Supervising the entrance and exit of all Club members, parents and guests at the site.
Ensuring a safe, clean and organized appearance of the Club at all times.
Provide excellent customer service to Club members, parents, and community members.
Provide guidance, affirm positive behavior in members, and offer redirection to youth when needed.
Ensure confidentiality during and after employment which includes, but not limited to membership data, school data, safety plans, and other information obtained.
Act as a role model to youth by maintaining a good reputation and moral conduct outside of work, in the community and on social media networks.
COVID-19 SPECIFIC TASKS:
Assist Club Director and Staff with screening employees for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 at the start of each shift.
Assist Club Director to ensure that employees who display symptoms of COVID-19 stay home or immediately are instructed to go home.
Assist Club Director to ensure that any areas where an employee with probable or confirmed COVID-19 illness worked, touched surfaces, etc. are cleaned and sanitized. Following the cleaning guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control to deep clean and sanitize.
Conduct frequent cleaning and sanitizing with a particular emphasis on commonly touched surfaces around your work space.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED – Required
Some higher education – Preferred
Pass a National Background Check – Required
Pass a Credit Check - Required
Experience working at a front desk / reception area – Preferred
Experience working with youth – Preferred
Skill in data entry, clerical support, strong communication and customer service - Required
Experience giving direction and guidance to youth in various recreational and/or educational settings – Preferred
CPR & First Aid Certifications – Required within 6 months of hire date.
WORK SCHEDULE
Must be available between 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday
Approximately 25-35 hours per week depending on program needs.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$14.00 per hour
10 paid Holidays per year
