    POSITION: Technology Coordinator (Part Time, 15-30 Hours/week)       

    PAY: $16-$18 Starting (may vary based on experience/qualifications)

    REPORTS TO: Executive Director, or Director of Operations

    PRIMARY FUNCTION:

    The Technology Coordinator manages and administers the organization’s technology infrastructure including the identification, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software. This position also includes the implementation of technology based Club programs at various Club sites in the Antelope Valley.

    KEY ROLES (ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES):

    TECHNOLOGY MAINTENANCE:

    • Provides ongoing support for the organization's various computer systems and all organizational users.
    • Monitor performance of Information Technology systems.
      • Maintain and update phone systems / voice messaging / cell phones
      • Provide regular computer maintenance for computer labs and office computers, as requested
    • Create and maintain an inventory/tracking system and calendar for all technology based items, programs, subscriptions and associated passwords.
    • Work directly with vendors, partners, and site staff to fulfill technology needs.
    • Ensure Technology expenditures are controlled within budget.
    • Aid in the development of IT policy and security practices.
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing with users to improve organizational efficiency.
    • Maintains close, daily contact with Club professional staff and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/ instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
    • Maintains contact with vendors, consultants, and service providers to maintain effective information systems operations, manage costs, share information and resolve problems.
    • Assist in other areas as needed.

    TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS:

    • Plan and oversee the implementation of designated Site programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes in all areas related to technology.
    • Work with program staff to develop and implement technology based programs at various Club sites
      • Robotics
      • STEM
      • Computer Skills / Safety
    • Work with administrative staff to implement and maintain grant funded technology programs
      • Provide individual case management on participating members and program updates including success stories, photos and relevant requests to improve member experience.
      • Build relationships with local industry leaders to leverage support and potential funding for expansion of technology programs and equipment.

    1. Qualifications
    • Degree in computer science or a closely-related field is preferred.
    • Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in information systems management, including network and security administration.
    • Microsoft network certification or equivalent required.
    • Current knowledge of best practices related to networking, computer security principles, Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, Microsoft 365 cloud services and Microsoft server technologies.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
    • Self-disciplined, takes initiative, remains focused in the face of pressure.
    • Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility and good humor.
    • Demonstrates a relentless commitment to excellence in all tasks.
    • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to quickly learn new data systems and processes.
    • Instructional Aide Qualified (Paraprofessional Test Required)
    • Enthusiasm and patience for working with children and passion about education.
    • Excellent student interaction skills in 1:1 and small group settings.
    • Meet Staff Training requirements
    1. Communication
    • Must be able to inform important and relevant technology information in staff meetings and to Members, Parents, Co-Workers, Unit Supervisor and other Boys & Girls Club affiliates.
    • Must be able to listen to Co-Workers, Parents, Youth Members and Community and other Boys & Girls Club affiliates while maintaining a professional relationship and positive representation of the Club at all times.
    • Must be able to present important and relevant information and/or presentations through program facilitation, staff meetings or training's, and/or other Boys & Girls Club events.
    • Must be able to write and compose clear, concise, accurate written documentation and data reports.
    1. Supervision, & Safety
    • Must be able to supervise up to 20 youth and keep members engaged and safe during program time.
    • Ensure the safety standards are met by all site staff at all times.
    • Provide sound and reasonable discipline to youth members at necessary times through written documentation (i.e. citation), and/or parent phone call.
    • Practice and constantly be aware of safe practices like Crisis Management, Emergency Preparedness, CPR and First Aid, etc.
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work space at all times.
    1. Other Duties as Necessary

    TRAVEL:

    Travel will be required to multiple Club facilities throughout the Antelope Valley, and/or training and other business purposes. Mileage reimbursement would be provided for all approved business travel at the current CA rate.
