Bradford protects parts and assemblies that go into every car and truck assembly plant in North America and a wide variety of recreational and consumer products. Bradford Company is seeking to hire a bright and highly motivated individual for the position of Human Resources Payroll and Benefits Specialist in their Holland, MI office.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    Coordinates the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The Human Resources/Payroll and Benefits Specialist carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: administers payroll, T&A, and HRIS systems; benefits administration; employee relations and onboarding; FMLA and Worker's Compensation administration; OSHA; DOT; wellness; safety initiates; and employee events. Contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce and reports to the Director of Human Resources.

    • Written and Oral Communication - Ability to communicate professionally, courteously and effectively in English, both written and oral, using proper grammar. Able to read and interpret written information. Listens to information given and responds well to questions, asking for clarification as needed.
    • Teamwork - Ability to work productively with minimum supervision, while recognizing the need to share information and keep HR members informed. Balances team and individual responsibilities. Demonstrates cooperative and courteous spirit and willingness to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Problem Solving - Identifies, analyzes and resolves problems in a timely manner. Develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with sensitive topics.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a similar field is desired for this position.
    • Minimum four years payroll and benefits experience preferred. Familiarity with payroll and payroll tax laws required.
    • Advanced knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
    • Payroll systems, time and attendance applications, and ADP Payroll and HRIS experience preferred.
    • Bilingual in English/Spanish, preferred.
