Job Description

Your mission is to architect and develop software that solves impactful user experience and business problems to help us serve and delight our customers at scale. You’ll work in a highly collaborative environment with other engineering, design, product, and healthcare teammates.

We use Ruby on Rails for our backend, React for our web clients, React Native for our mobile app, along with GraphQL, Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, architect, develop, and improve major components and features on a React web application and Ruby on Rails backend systems
• Build new UI components, product features, and reusable systems/abstractions across the stack
• Collaborate with design, product, and business teammates to help make UI/UX decisions
• Mentor and coach junior engineers across the organization

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience writing production software that drives significant value for stakeholders
• Strong experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS applications with Ruby on Rails
• Strong experience with SPA JavaScript development, such as React (strongly preferred), Angular, and/or Vue.
• Track record of designing, architecting, and implementing complex software applications
• Technical leadership experience, ability to influence technical audience
• Understanding of UI/UX principles, ability to influence application design
• BS in CS, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to join a quickly growing start-up and make it a success

LOCATION:  USA, CANADA, OR BRAZIL. This is a remote position.  Our headquarters are in San Francisco, CA.
