Brainbase has raised $12M from top venture capital firms and works with leading brands including Sanrio, BuzzFeed, MGM and more. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing team working on transforming an extremely outdated industry.

As our first finance hire, you'll play a pivotal role in streamlining our financial processes and guiding high-level decision making.

The Role

• Work closely with executives to perform financial planning and analysis
• Build sophisticated in-depth financial models from the ground up
• Develop financial processes to keep the company's finances highly organized and efficient
• Build and leverage financial planning systems for budgeting and forecasting
• Present financial models in a clear and concise way to executives and stakeholders
• Work closely with our bookkeeper to ensure timely collections, invoicing processes, and budget accuracy
• Prepare summaries and present the monthly and quarterly financials
• Manage ongoing budget and financial models
• Manage spend tracking and monitor projected vs actual spend on a consistent basi

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of financial planning and analysis in a startup or high-growth business
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or equivalent
• Budgeting and financial modeling experience
• Extensive knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and QuickBooks
• Superb attention to detail
• Ownership mentality and propensity to take responsibility for key outcomes
• Strong critical thinking skills. Able to apply a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to new systems and situations
• Strong desire to work and learn in a high-growth, startup environment

Preferred

• MBA preferred but not required
• Experience in SaaS
