    Job Description

    We're looking for an experienced Community Manager to join our client-embedded Community Partnerships team. Communication skills are critical to this role's success, as you embody our client's voice by creating content, engaging with their Media Partnership team in supporting the work of Strategic Communities and the We The Culture Community, celebrating and supporting Black Creativity.

    You will be responsible for helping develop and implement their community engagement strategy, which means building relationships comes naturally to you as you’ll work cross-functionally with product teams, legal and PR so they can support and filter the correct information and escalate  if needed.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Oversee content creation (internal and external partners) and manage the content calendar.

    • Plan and execute content for one or more of our clients programs while collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure all content meets their standards, is relevant to the needs and motivations of community leaders, and to ensure a positive experience for their community leaders.

    • Manage content calendars

    • Manage and moderate posts and analyze data for insights and iteration 

    • Surface and prioritize community feedback with the product team to create a feedback loop for monitoring team discussions and helping our client become a community leader with this audience.

    • Handle day-to-day community moderation

     

     

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING

    • 5+ years of community management experience for a brand or nonprofit 

    • Experience in managing content calendars

    • Experience in content creation and dissemination

    • Experience working cross-functionally with an array of internal teams and stakeholders, prioritizing tasks, and managing deadlines to balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

    • Understanding of various management tools including community forums

    • A mature attitude with the ability to lead from the back 

    • Exceptional listening skills and a thoughtful nature

     

     

    BONUS POINTS IF HAVE

    • Experience working on a global scale with both internal and external partners

    • Experience working closely on data and insights to report out the impact of community engagement

    • Experience in coaching others and sharing community management best practices
