    Job Description

    THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION REPORTING TO OUR HEAD OFFICE, BUT WORKING 100% ON-SITE AT OUR CLIENT'S OFFICE IN LOS ANGELES.



    Brainrider is looking for an experienced, results-oriented event marketing manager to join our client-embedded on-site team, working closely with an in-house marketing and creative team at one of the world's most well-known tech companies. 

    Your previous experience working in a medium or large cross-functional organization has equipped you to plan, organize, and manage marketing events for this B2B event marketing team, partnering with digital, media, vertical marketing, and event execution teams to deliver regional and national programs to the market. 

    You have organized and run enough marketing events that you know the formula of successful marketing event planning and execution. You're comfortable working with and managing both external vendors and internal cross-functional stakeholders and content contributors. You're extremely organized, can build and execute show plans in your sleep, thrive under pressure, and love that your job involves traveling to manage your events.

    Your regular responsibilities will include:

    • Planning, organizing, and managing approximately 20-30 B2B marketing events per year
    • Managing agencies, agency RFPs, third-party organizer relationships, and internal cross-functional stakeholders and contributors including Design, Content, and Sales teams
    • Meeting and coordinating with event organizers where participating in 3rd party events
    • Providing support and resources for teams who are running smaller sponsorships & pop-ups independently
    • Establishing deadlines, communicating issues as they occur
    • Facilitating communication, reworking schedules, identifying issues
    • Identifying obstacles and pitfalls, and facilitating dialogue to resolve them
    • Prioritizing competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions
    • Coordinating resources across projects and teams
    • Tracking progress and status on projects
    • Identifying opportunities to improve processes
    • Anticipating needs for additional resources on a project

    Required Qualifications

    • 3-6 years Event Marketing experience in an agency or enterprise marketing team
    • Significant experience creating and managing event plans, budgets, timelines, and on-site execution for small and large events, both owned and 3rd party
    • Experience partnering with digital and media teams to deliver scaled programs
    • Experience managing event budgets and vendors
    • Advanced level Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
    • Strong verbal and written communication in English, other languages beneficial
    • Working knowledge of Workfront or other similar project tracking tools

    Advantageous Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Suite tools
    • Understanding of the digital advertising industry, including exposure to digital marketing and media
