Retail Branch Manager
Position Summary
The Retail Branch Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and growth of the branch. This role drives business development, deposit growth, consumer lending production, operational excellence, and exceptional member/client service while fostering a high-performing team culture.
The Branch Manager serves as the face of the organization within the community and is accountable for achieving branch goals, developing employees, managing risk, and delivering an outstanding client experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop branch employees to achieve individual and team performance goals.
Create a culture focused on service excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and career development planning.
Recruit, onboard, train, and retain top talent.
Foster employee engagement and maintain a positive work environment.
Sales & Business Development
Drive branch growth through deposits, consumer lending, and relationship expansion.
Develop and execute strategies to achieve branch sales and financial goals.
Coach employees on consultative sales techniques and referral generation.
Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and centers of influence.
Participate in networking and community events to promote the organization and generate new business opportunities.
Client Experience
Ensure delivery of exceptional service and relationship-based banking experiences.
Resolve escalated client concerns promptly and professionally.
Promote a client-first culture that deepens relationships and increases retention.
Monitor service metrics and implement improvements as needed.
Operations & Risk Management
Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Maintain adherence to all banking regulations, policies, procedures, and security requirements.
Manage operational risk, internal controls, audit readiness, and fraud prevention efforts.
Ensure branch cash management and security procedures are consistently followed.
Address operational issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Financial Performance
Manage branch performance against established goals and key performance indicators.
Monitor branch profitability, deposit growth, lending production, and referral activity.
Analyze performance data and develop action plans to improve results.
Ensure efficient utilization of branch resources.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
3+ years of retail banking experience.
2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience within a financial institution.
Proven success achieving sales, service, and operational objectives.
Strong understanding of consumer banking products and services.
Knowledge of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and branch operations.
Preferred

NMLS registration or ability to obtain as required.

Physical Requirements
