Position Overview
Pro-Serv Food Equipment is seeking a high-accountability Branch Manager to fully own the performance, execution, and culture of an assigned branch. This role is responsible for ensuring the branch operates at 100% capacity, every day.
The Branch Manager is the direct leader of the Dispatch Manager, Parts Manager, and Estimator, and is accountable for how well those departments perform together. If there is an issue within the branch, the Branch Manager owns it. This role operates with an ownership mindset — your branch is your business.
Core Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities
Lead a daily 10-minute morning technician huddle
Set expectations, priorities, safety notes, and key updates
Ensure the branch day runs at 100%
No gaps, no confusion, no unresolved issues
Review open work orders, callbacks, reinspections, and escalations
Drive resolution, not excuses
Directly manage and support:
Dispatch Manager
Parts Manager
Estimator
Remove obstacles preventing the team from executing
Inspect fleet condition
Safety, cleanliness, readiness, and branding
Review parts shortages and delays
Prevent downtime and reschedules
Address and resolve customer complaints
Own the issue from start to finish
Approve local purchases
Ensure spending aligns with budget and policy
Weekly Standard Operating Procedures
Conduct performance review meetings with:
Service Manager
Dispatch Manager
Parts Manager
Estimator
Review revenue per truck
Identify inefficiencies and missed opportunities
Review scheduling efficiency and technician utilization
Perform local marketing and relationship outreach
Key customers, vendors, and community partners
Complete a branch safety and compliance walk
Shop, warehouse, fleet, and job documentation
Monthly Standard Operating Procedures
Review and fully understand the Branch P&L
Revenue, labor efficiency, margins, overhead, and expenses
Conduct staff performance reviews
Accountability, coaching, corrective action, and development
Audit branch equipment and fleet assets
Perform inventory accuracy and variance checks
Review estimating accuracy, close rates, and backlog health
Identify staffing, training, or process gaps and implement solutions
Leadership & Ownership Expectations
You are the final point of accountability for your branch
The branch runs smoothly whether ownership is present or not
Problems are addressed immediately — not passed upward
Standards are enforced consistently across all departments
The branch reflects professionalism, structure, and pride
You operate the branch with the mindset of an owner, not a supervisor

Revenue per truck
Technician utilization and efficiency
Callback and reinspection rates
Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution time
Dispatch effectiveness and scheduling efficiency
Inventory accuracy and parts availability
Estimator close rate and quote turnaround time
Fleet and equipment condition
Team performance and retention
Qualifications
5+ years experience in service operations, branch management, or field leadership
Strong understanding of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or food equipment service
Proven experience managing multiple department leaders
Ability to read, understand, and act on P&L statements
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Highly organized, direct, and execution-focused
Preferred Experience
Multi-branch or high-volume service environment
Dispatch, parts, or estimating leadership background
Inventory and fleet oversight experience
Customer account ownership or key account management
