    COMPANY OVERVIEW

    As a Hotel Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately managing direct bill accounts, handing cash receipts and deposits as well as entering rooming lists, billing information and routing, credits, and other duties regarding room billing. You will need strong phone, customer service and computer skills. This position is a day shift full time position with great potential for growth.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Provide accounting and clerical support to the corporate accounting department.

    Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.

    Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.

    Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.

    Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database.

    Provide assistance and support via email and phone calls to clients in a friendly, polite manner.

    Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.

    Inform management and compile reports/summaries for specific departments.

    Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws

    Administrative duties such as typing, packet making, file distribution, sending client invoices and other tasks as delegated.

    Be the liaison between clients and all hotel departments.

    Flexibility to work some evenings or weekends when needed.

    Assist in billing questions, and handle follow ups.

    Constantly update job knowledge.

    Requirements and skills

    Previous hotel experience at the front desk or night audit

    Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Clerk

    Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

    Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software

    Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports

    Accuracy and attention to detail

    Aptitude for numbers.

    Data entry and word processing skills.

    Well organized.

    Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

    High School graduate.

    Associate degree or relevant certification is a plus.
