    JOB SUMMARY

    As Accounting Intern, you will gain hands-on accounting experience that will help set you up for a career in accounting upon graduation. You will assist with the accounting for our hotels and work with hotel management staff to resolve any questions and issues that arise. You will also complete many monthly tasks required to be compliant with accrual-based GAAP accounting. In this role, you must be able to meet monthly deadlines and assist with various other projects. We are flexible with the amount of hours required for the position - anywhere between 16-24 hours per week.RESPONSIBILITIES

    Tying out and reconciling daily revenues and stats.

    Completing bank statement reconciliations.

    Calculating monthly accruals.

    Maintaining schedules for balance sheet accounts.

    Reviewing P&L’s and balance sheets.

    Assisting hotels with questions and problems.

    Assisting with miscellaneous projects.

    Maintaining a professional image at all times through action, appearance, and dress.

    Following Company policies and procedures.

    Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Currently working towards a minimum of Associate Degree required in Accounting, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

    Understand basic Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

    Proficient in the use of computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, accounting software, email etc.

    Communicate effectively & positively through speech & email with co-workers, hotel employees, vendors, and customers.

    Demonstrated skills in organizing and evaluating information and proactively finding solutions.
