    Job Description

    Position: Analyst, Accountant

    Location: Alpharetta, GA/ Remote

    Compensation: $80-95k plus bonus for successful closings. 

    Our Client is a consulting firm that consults with various commercial landscape companies to improve operations, profitability and provides guidance for Mergers and Acquisitions on both the buyer and seller side. 

    Due to an increase of available capital, deal flow and continual consolidation in the industry, they are adding this position to help them manage the coordination and development of due diligence financial information that will be used to evaluate the overall performance and value of the business. This position will be assigned to specific deals/companies to gather financial data and to build models that will be used with presenting to investors.

    Position - Analyst – Accounting Focus

    • Interview clients and obtain an understanding of their business and financial reporting environment
    • Create proforma financial models for valuations and confidential information memorandums
    • Manage due diligence data rooms - gather, organize, review and vet information and documents
    • Counsel and guide clients through the M&A Diligence process
    • Interact and coordinate with other 3rd party professionals such as accountants, attorneys, and bankers
    • Support internal team members with accounting, financial, audit, and ad-hock reporting as needed
    • Proactively communicate opportunities and challenges to fellow team members
    • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of internal process and procedures

    After an initial training period, the position is expected to be 80-90% remote unless the candidate desires to work out of the office in Alpharetta, GA more often. A high degree of flexibility is available if needs are communicated, however it is expected that team members are generally available for on-camera (Zoom) collaborative work and client meetings during traditional business hours. Overall work hours will vary depending on the current case load, stages of the transaction cycle, and the time zones of all parties involved. Out of town travel may be offered once or twice a year to attend a convention or visit a client site, but this will be on a case-by-case basis.

    General Qualifications:

    • At least 4 years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or the M&A industry
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

    Nice to Have Qualifications:

    • Public accounting audit/assurance experience
    • CPA or CPA candidate (will be working under a CPA)

    This is a great opportunity for one to break out of a traditional Audit or Corporate Accounting position to get into the M&A industry.  Our client is well respected within their vertical where they are seeing a lot of demand. Our client is willing to train someone so we do not need someone from M&A, however, audit background would be ideal.
