Our client has been servicing the Boston greater market for over 20 years providing high end commercial properties with beautiful indoor and outdoor landscape maintenance and installation solutions. They are currently recruiting for a Exterior Maintenance Manager to manage the delivery of services for a portfolio of properties.
As the Exterior Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day functions of this growing landscape maintenance team. As you work hand in hand with the Senior Management Team to meet the overall goals and financial targets, you will also keep a close eye on the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team.
Responsibilities/Duties:
• Responsible for communicating with HR/Recruiting for hiring and performance management of team members to ensure quality services and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee, monitor and provide guidance in the training provided to landscape teams.
• Meet regularly with the Director of Operation to review progress and performance.
• Ensures team completes assigned tasks according to standard (to include technical and customer standards)
• Schedules maintenance routes and installation work orders in a logistically efficient manner that takes into consideration traffic patterns and proximity of sites for crews to maximize on-site time with clients
• Ensures weekly completed maintenance hours are logged and accounted for Finance to bill clients at the end of the month
• Clearly establishes performance expectations and monitors performance to ensure compliance with standards is being achieved
• Ensures employee counseling and evaluation forms are turned in on-time quarterly. If necessary, ensures disciplinary actions and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) are carried out according to the agreed upon plan
• Develops, implements and manages training plans that teach basic, intermediate, and advanced methods of plant installation, exterior plant care, and site preparation techniques
• Provides in-field training on exterior maintenance techniques, safety, equipment, and customer service as needed to ensure client satisfaction
• Holds weekly team meetings
• Oversees safety training for the Exterior department
• Ensures timely and efficient communication with the purchasing department regarding product when needed
• Communicates with the vehicle fleet supervisor to ensure all vehicles receive the proper preventive maintenance, checks, and services
• Attends weekly leadership meetings to ensure cross-communication amongst fellow leaders
Key Requirements:
• A landscape professional with at least 5+ years of industry experience.
• Must have horticultural knowledge
• A degree in horticulture, landscape design or related field is desired.
• Irrigation knowledge a plus
Benefits:
Salary: $70-75k with some flexibility based on candidates experience
