    Job Title – Enhancements Manager 

    Reports to: Vice President of Operations  

    Number of Employees Supervised: 20-40

    Description:

    Our client is a growing commercial landscape company that services the Chicagoland market providing landscape maintenance and enhancement services.  They plan to hire an experienced Enhancement Manager to be responsible for managing all field operations within the Enhancements Division with a focus on quality, employee development, safety and profitability.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manages and schedules labor, equipment and material to accomplish production schedules within established budgets. Maintains strict adherence to established schedules and budgets
    • Understand contract and site specifications and ensures they are met and maintains customers complete satisfaction. 
    • Provide most recent plans and/or documents to field staff at the beginning of the day and provide instruction to ensure that Supervisors have the most information to do their job. 
    • Ensures all work is completed in adherence to safety policies and guidelines. Enforces his supervisors to conduct weekly safety training and safety inspections on job-sites.
    • Investigates any accident or safety violation, prepares appropriate reports, takes action steps to correct and prevent future occurrences. Defines and implements solutions to reoccurring accidents or most common hazards. 
    • Enforces Supervisors to maintain proper inventory of materials, equipment and other supplies that are on hand to complete production activities on a monthly basis.
    • Ordering or purchasing of any equipment and materials which must be approved by direct supervisor.
    • Supervise employees, keep attendance records using time keeping software and enforce proper uniform and safety equipment usage. 
    • Overall human resource management of field and supervisors within division. Includes hiring, firing, training, coaching, mentoring and developing staff to reach potential and established goals for the individual and division. Identify and develop future supervisors. 
    • Maintains sufficient staff to accomplish production schedules and analyzes future needs, forecasting staff and material needs to complete future jobs.
    • Schedule and Route all crews. 
    • Coordinate the use of labor, equipment, materials and other resources within the maintenance division as needed.  
    • Visit job sites, observing organization of work, identifying and resolving training issues, and taking necessary actions to ensure quality. 
    • Respond to customer complaints ensuring proper handling to achieve excellent customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain job costs within all assigned budgets. 
    • Monitors job costs weekly and immediately reports to Vice President/ President any jobs deviating from budgets of time, schedule, cost or any other factor so appropriate adjustments can be made to maximize end result.
    • Maintain a high level of proper maintenance and care of company assets in the field and coordinate repairs with the asset manager. 
    • Develop and recommend best practices for improved work methods and standards.
    • Be able to identify Horticultural issues on site. Identifying diseases, pests, and fungus.

    Weekly Responsibilities  

    1. Attend weekly tailgate meetings with Supervisors and Crew Leaders. 
    2. Attend weekly sales and production meeting. 
    3. Monitor facilities and assets. 
    4. Monitor labor hours; adjust as needed. 
    5. Facilitate Tailgate Training and Talks on a weekly basis.
    6. Job costing for all sites. 

    Snow

    1. All employees play a pivotal role in our snow program’s success.  
    2. Basically all the same duties covered within this job description apply to the snow department.
    3. Recruiting, scheduling, equipping, & managing snow operations. 

    Minimum Qualifications & Educational Requirements

    • Bachelor Degree in Horticulture/Turf Management/Construction and/or 5-10 years directly relevant experience. 
    • 3 years supervisory experience. 
    • Experience in business management or basic accounting skills. 
    • Mechanical aptitude. 
    • Software usage experience (Microsoft Office, Aspire, Nextraq). 
    • Current and valid drivers license. 

    Compensation:

    $100,000 - $115,000 plus Profit Share
