    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cafe Baker to join our team and bring warmth, tradition, and artisanal flair to our kitchen. Our café is built around a legacy of time-honored family recipes passed down through generations, and we’re looking for someone who values the authenticity and craft behind every loaf, pastry, and pie.

    As our baker, you’ll prepare a variety of baked goods daily using these cherished recipes and bring a touch of creativity—especially through beautifully decorated cookies and themed treats. If you love combining the art of tradition with imaginative design, you’ll feel right at home here.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare a daily selection of baked goods, including bread, cakes, pies, pastries, and cookies based on our collection of old family recipes.

    Accurately follow recipe instructions, maintaining the integrity of flavor, texture, and presentation.

    Design and decorate cookies with precision and creativity, using seasonal, holiday, and custom café themes.

    Develop fresh ideas for themed baked goods, displays, and packaging that align with our brand and customer preferences.

    Collaborate with the cafe owner to adapt traditional recipes for modern techniques or dietary preferences when appropriate (e.g., gluten-free, vegan).

    Manage the baking schedule to ensure fresh goods are available each morning.

    Monitor ingredient levels and assist with inventory management, placing orders as needed.

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station and comply with health and safety regulations.

    Occasionally assist in customer engagement by sharing the stories behind our signature bakes and decorated goods.

    Qualifications:

    Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or similar role (minimum 2 years preferred)

    Candidate must be proficient in both English and Spanish

    Skilled in cookie decorating, piping, icing techniques, and edible design work.

    A deep appreciation for traditional baking techniques and handcrafted goods.

    Familiarity with using or adapting heirloom/family recipes.

    Strong attention to detail, especially in taste, presentation, and creativity.

    Ability to work early mornings and manage baking schedules independently.

    Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team environment.

    Culinary school certification is a plus but not required—true passion and skill matter most.
