    2023 Breakaway Graphic Design Coordinator

    Breakaway is a fast-growing music and entertainment company with a bold visual identity in search of a highly motivated Graphic Design Coordinator to support the design and development of all Breakaway Music Festival marketing and promotional materials.

    This role will work across Creative, Marketing & Social Media functions, and cross-departmentally, to grow the Breakaway brand and captivate new and diverse audiences.

    Responsibilities include supporting the Creative Director in expanding campaign creative deliverables based on predetermined season creative campaigns, creating designs according to specifications, and improving design tasks.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, creative individual with a passion for music, festivals, live concerts, graphic design, and animation. This individual is responsible for connecting with past, current, and future consumers, with the goal of turning fans into customers and customers into ambassadors. Ultimately growing Breakaway into a content suite that places the brand as a driver of culture, not just a ticket sales mechanism.

    The Graphic Design Coordinator will report to the Creative Director and will work closely with all members of the marketing and social teams.

    Position: Contractor

    Location: Los Angeles, CA based (Hybrid/Remote option)

    Experience Desired: 2-3 years of experience

    Responsibilities:

    • The Graphic Design Coordinator's responsibilities include imagery, layout, and creation for online and print ads, original designs for landing pages and overall design/asset creation for Breakaway Music Festival, ability to visually represent & explain the product using original graphics, illustration, photo asset manipulation, etc.
    • Understanding project requirements and work within brand and style guidelines, delivering design-forward visual solutions that support larger campaign and brand goals.
    • Producing logos, banners, lineups, artist assets, web assets, stage graphics, social memes, animations, and interfaces.
    • Pitching creative concepts to add to the brand's visual identity.
    • Collaborating with the team to launch projects.
    • Using feedback from other designers to improve and expand original ideas and concepts.

    Graphic Design Coordinator Qualifications & Requirements

    • Graphic qualification or similar.
    • Up to 3 years of working experience as a graphic designer.
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic workspace and flexibility to pivot during a project if needed.
    • Experience with design software for both print and digital: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (Bonus for knowledge in After Effects or any animation program)
    • Ability to work well within a team inside and outside the design department.
    • A talent for creativity and problem-solving.
