The Doubletree by Hilton Omaha Southwest is hiring a Breakfast Cook. The Breakfast Cook prepares and cooks morning meals, from eggs and pancakes to buffets, focusing on speed, quality, and presentation while maintaining strict hygiene, managing ingredients, and coordinating with service staff to ensure a smooth, positive guest experience, often in hotels, restaurants, or diners. Key duties include prep work (chopping, measuring), cooking to recipe standards, managing inventory, setting up/breaking down buffets, and ensuring all health/safety regulations are met for a fast-paced morning service. Responsibilities: • Food Preparation: Cook hot and cold breakfast items (omelets, waffles, pastries, etc.), following recipes, portion control, and presentation standards. • Ingredient Management: Wash, chop, and measure ingredients; manage stock, label, and rotate items to minimize waste. • Kitchen Operations: Set up and replenish breakfast buffets; maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of workstations and equipment. • Service Coordination: Work with servers to ensure timely order delivery; accommodate dietary needs and special requests. • Hygiene & Safety: Adhere to all food safety and health regulations, practicing excellent sanitation. • Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff, potentially train junior cooks, and assist with other meal services.
