    The DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Southwest is seeking a Breakfast Cook to join the team. In this role, you’ll prepare and cook a variety of morning dishes—from eggs and pancakes to buffet items—while prioritizing speed, quality, and presentation. The position also requires maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards, managing ingredients, and working closely with service staff to deliver a smooth and enjoyable guest experience in a fast-paced hotel environment. Key responsibilities include: preparing ingredients (such as chopping and measuring), cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards, monitoring and managing inventory, setting up and breaking down breakfast buffets, and ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed during busy morning service. Responsibilities: • Food Preparation: Cook hot and cold breakfast items (omelets, waffles, pastries, etc.), following recipes, portion control, and presentation standards. • Ingredient Management: Wash, chop, and measure ingredients; manage stock, label, and rotate items to minimize waste. • Kitchen Operations: Set up and replenish breakfast buffets; maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of workstations and equipment. • Service Coordination: Work with servers to ensure timely order delivery; accommodate dietary needs and special requests. • Hygiene & Safety: Adhere to all food safety and health regulations, practicing excellent sanitation. • Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff, potentially train junior cooks, and assist with other meal services.
