    Shivaay Group LLC is in search of a hardworking personable candidate as our breakfast attendant. We are seeking an individual with a positive personality who has excellent communication and guest services skills. We provide great opportunities in the hospitality industry with chances to advance from within the company. In all departments we may request cross training, to allow better opportunities within the company.

    With this position you will be expected to set up, cook, prep, and continuously stock breakfast items. As well as, clean up the breakfast/lobby area, close down breakfast, prep and stock for the next day's opening. In this position you will be greeting our guest as you serve them providing a hospitable and welcoming environment which makes a memorable stay for each of our visiting guest. As our Breakfast Host is a large piece of our success and a great value to our team, we are looking for the best individuals for this position.

    Full job description

    Opening the Breakfast Area by preparing all food, completing all set up, and heating food to keep the breakfast stocked for guest arriving to get a start to their day.

    Must certify as a breakfast host and Serve Safe classes following all health and corporate guidelines.

    Serve our guest fully while engaging with them and creating that relationship with the guest.

    Provide any answers and assistant guest may request while in your department.

    Maintain cleanliness and organized work area and breakfast area by cleaning, wiping down tables and counters, sweeping, mopping, etc.

    Monitor the inventory of food and supplies to insure that supplies are well stocked and nothing is being wasted.

    At the end of the breakfast time for the day you will breakdown your buffet items, clean, and polish all public areas.

    Clean all dishes, wipe down all kitchen counters and appliances, restock for the next day, and leave the kitchen area fully cleaned.

    Assisting in any other departments may be required of you on a day to day basis. Working as a team is a part of the Avid Madison-Huntsville's values.

    Experience

    Preferable experience in food related or hotel related work history

    Ability to remain calm in various situations, use sound judgment and effectively solve problems

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedural manuals

    Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

    Ability to follow instructions, prioritize and multi-task

    Work Location: In-Person

    Requirements

    Must be available to work any day of the week and work early morning schedules.

    Must be authorized to work in the US.

    Must have reliable transportation.

    At least 1 year of hotel housekeeping experience preferred.

    Willing to work on weekends and holidays.

    Willing to do heavy lifting.

    Must be willing to go under background check.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Working in a hotel, you must be comfortable working with other individuals in a shared opened space.

    No set deadlines, as duties and tasks can change daily. You must be able to prioritize your day based on the tasks provided and open to changes or additions to your job each day.

    Must be able to work well with others.

    Remaining customer friendly and professional throughout your work day.

    Hours and scheduling will vary from week-to-week basis and no amount of hours is guaranteed. This will be based on demand of business.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The duties required while performing this job are the ability to see, hear, reach, stand, stoop, bend, and crouch up to 8 hours on a daily basis.

    Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.

    During your daily shift you will be required to stand, move, walk, bend and stoop regularly.
