We are looking for an associate family law attorney to join our team and provide our clients with both compassion and skill. Our associate attorneys receive a mix of independence to manage their own cases and assistance as they construct and refine the abilities that lead to real success for our customers. Responsibilities: • Provide a highly rated customer service experience while being responsive, proactive, and compassionate • Communicate accurately and effectively with clients and members of a legal team • Help clients understand their needs, explain their legal options, and work with them to devise strategies to suit their objectives • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders while supervised by a competent attorney, in cooperation with a team • Uphold the firm's high expectations in regards to client communication, customer service, and legal ethics at all times • Be willing to show empathy and understanding to people in difficult situations • Dissect and differentiate legal matters from emotions to serve clients’ interests • Work harmoniously in a group environment to reach individual, firm, and client objectives • Follow organizational rules for legal procedures and deadlines precisely and on time • Meet the company's and the law's timeline expectations Qualifications: • Possession of a valid North Carolina law license. (We can help you get sworn in, but you must have the license in hand) • Ability to communicate effectively, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • A demonstrated interest in representing clients in mediation and, when necessary, at trial • A commitment to helping children and families • Ability to manage some independent cases and assist senior attorneys • Ability to meet clear, established work standards for timekeeping, client communication, document production, and case management • Professional, friendly demeanor that is an asset to the positive workplace culture we've worked hard to build • Ability to handle cases in Johnston, Wake, and Harnett Counties • Valid North Carolina Notary Public, or ability to obtain it immediately • Three professional references Compensation: $78,000 yearly
