    Brella opened its first child care center in Playa Vista and we are growing! OUR PRESENCE IS EXPANDING TO HOLLYWOOD (909 N. ORANGE DR) AND WE'RE LOOKING FOR INFANT TEACHERS who are excited about building a new model of child care that responds to families' varying child care needs, while also delivering the highest quality experiences for children.     AS A BRELLA INFANT TEACHER YOU WILL:

    • Provide a safe and loving environment for children 3 to 24 months
    • Maintain a well-organized, developmentally appropriate, and beautiful classroom by continually evaluating and enhancing the environment
    • Model empathy through respect, response, and gentle guidance
    • Supervise, observe and engage with infants/children on the floor as they work with age appropriate, stimulating and thoughtful materials
    • Ensure play, sleep and changing areas, and all materials are sterilized daily and kept clean
    • Create and maintain daily assessments and nap, changing and feeding schedules
    • Actively participate in meetings, workshops, special events and trainings

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Meet all state teaching experience, education and additional state requirements if hired including at least 12 ECE units including infant/toddler (Required)
    • 1 year of experience in a childcare setting in the U.S. (Preferred)
    • Ability to be flexible, willingness to cooperate, desire to be helpful, “yes”-mentality.
    • A collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn from others
    • A “can do” attitude, someone who views problems and challenges as opportunities for growth
    • Proactively seeks out resources to continually improve one's practice
    • Finds joy in working with children and adults
    • Knowledge of infant early learning/development and group care settings, including knowledge of current research, regulations, and best practices
    • Strong knowledge of Safe Infant Sleeping Practices and infant feeding
    • Comfort using technology
    • Understanding of Reggio, RIE and Montessori

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, bend and otherwise fully participate in activities.  Standing for long periods of time. 

    • Ability to physically handle children between 0-6 years of age using appropriate techniques.  Ability to lift children up to 50 pounds.  

    • Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements. 

    • Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies. 

    • Follow state, federal and Brellas' guidelines regarding immunizations, employment physical, and required health and safety training and practices.
