    Brella opened its second child care center in Hollywood and we are growing!

    Currently, we are looking for an INFANT TEACHER FOR SATURDAY'S who embraces change, are eager to learn, take pride in what they do and see their time with children no matter how long or short as a learning opportunity. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS FOR SATURDAYS (9 A.M. - 1 P.M.) AT THE HOLLYWOOD LOCATION WHEN WE OPEN UP OUR WEEKEND HOURS IN LATE AUGUST OR MONTH OF OCTOBER.

    AS A BRELLA INFANT WEEKEND TEACHER, YOU WILL:

    • Provide a safe and loving environment for children 
    • Maintain a well-organized, developmentally appropriate, and beautiful classroom by continually evaluating and enhancing the environment
    • Model empathy through respect, response, and gentle guidance
    • Supervise, observe and engage with infants/children on the floor as they work with age appropriate, stimulating and thoughtful materials
    • Communicate effectively with families to share appropriate curriculum and development updates

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Candidates will need to have at least 12 ECE units including 3 specific to infant care (Required)
    • Must meet the requirements of the California Department of Social Services (licensing)
    • Ability to be flexible, willingness to cooperate, desire to be helpful, “yes”-mentality.
    • A collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn from others
    • A “can do” attitude, someone who views problems and challenges as opportunities for growth
    • Proactively seeks out resources to continually improve one's practice
    • Finds joy in working with children and adults
    • Knowledge of early learning/development and group care settings, including current research, regulations, and best practices
    • Comfort using technology
    • Understanding of Reggio, RIE and Montessori

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Demonstrate full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, walk, bend and otherwise fully participate in activities.  Standing for long periods of time. 
    • Ability to physically handle children between 0-6 years of age using appropriate techniques.  Ability to lift children up to 50 pounds.  
    • Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements. 
    • Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies. 
    • Follow state, federal and Brellas' guidelines regarding immunizations, employment physical, and required health and safety training and practices.
