    Our client is a growing boutique 501c3 fiscal sponsor public charity that operates over seventy (70) global charitable initiatives underneath its umbrella and is seeking a rising Business Manager to join their tight-knit, entrepreneurial accounting team. This hands-on role will perform all of the tasks you are intimately aware of from business management including general accounting duties, monthly reporting, and to serve as a point of contact for a growing list of exclusive celebrity and affluent client charitable initiatives that we operate.  This is a great entrée into the philanthropic world for those who are looking to transition into a business management level position that helps others do good. You will be learning from a best-in-class team about philanthropic strategy and impact, legalities, and charitable fundraising. This is a fast-paced, fun environment for someone who really wants to engage and be a part of doing good.

     

    What You’ll Tackle:

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring white-glove level service
    • Onboard new clients onto all technology platforms including payment processors (Network For Good, PayPal, Stripe) creating new profiles and downloading reports, adding ledgers into Xero accounting software, communicating with banks (getting new bank accounts set up and creating client viewing profiles), creating alias email accounts, and creating client logins on Squarespace
    • Coordinate with banks and representatives of these platforms
    • Perform day-to-day accounting for various charitable initiatives / clients, including bank reconciliations, and accounts receivable and credits receivables
    • Perform monthly financial reporting
    • Assist with setting up independent contractors, w9 and annual 1099 reporting
    • Assist with setting up client payroll and coordinate with the outside payroll company
    • Utilize Bill.com, check-writing and ACH/wires for payables
    • Support financial audits
    • Perform other work as may be assigned

     

    What’s Needed to Win

    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related
    • 2+ years of business management firm experience
    • Knowledge of 501c3 organizations
    • Proficiency with financial systems (Xero, Bill.com) and related integrations (a plus)
    • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and email
    • Hands on, roll up your sleeves, positive attitude, multi-tasker
    • Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Highly detail-oriented and organized in work
    • Ability to work in a high energy, dynamic working environment
