    Our firm has been engaged by a successful entrepreneur with various entities to identify an accomplished and versatile Accounting Supervisor to join their team. Our client’s leadership has a proven track record in the wholesale and distribution space of the entertainment industry and is always evaluating new investment opportunities. This role will have full accounting responsibility and oversight of an outsourced team. The primary focus of the role will be to keep transactions and the back office flowing in a timely and accurate manner as well as providing reporting to management to help the leadership team make well-informed decisions. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a smaller, entrepreneurial environment, in a hands-on role to work directly with the owner/founder on diverse and interesting opportunities.     What You’ll Tackle:

    • Monthly Billing – generation of monthly invoices
    • Entry and generation of product invoices
    • Cash Receipts Entry and Deposits to Bank
    • AR and collections
    • AP -- vendor invoice entry, check processing, and vendor management
    • Credit card reconciliation
    • Supervise and coordinate outsourced accounting team on day-to-day activities
    • Month End Close
    • Bank Reconciliation
    • Payroll – process Payroll with ADP and enter into the accounting system
    • Monthly Financial Package and ad hoc reports as needed by management
    • Manage staff travel
    • Liaise with outside CPA as needed
    • Forecasting & Budgets
    • Cash Management
    • Key Metrics
    • Special projects and research related to finance as needed
    • Implementation of more streamlined systems to support growth

     

    What’s Needed to Win:

    • Bachelor's Degree (a strong plus)
    • Minimum 5+ years’ work experience, ideally in a similar industry with inventory and COGS
    • Quickbooks desktop and online experience (a must)
    • Strong tech proficiency: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to travel for a few days, a few times per year (preferred)
    • Must be proactive, able to take initiative, follow up, and ability move issues or projects to closure with minimum supervision
    • Unquestionable ethics and ability to exercise considerable discretion and maintain appropriate confidentiality
    • Incredible attention to detail and strong ability to organize
    • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
    • Patience to work with high-level people and adaptability to different types of personalities
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly entrepreneurial environment
    • Able to manage unexpected issues in a professional manner and get results
    • Well-honed common sense, and ability to see the big picture and thrive under pressure
