    Our client is a successful, growing L.A. based software and consulting firm committed to growing mid-market businesses as a partner by optimizing their CRM, accounting, and ERP software solutions to provide more information faster, more accurately, and more strategically.  Leading the way in developing innovative solutions to complex business issues, they are a global organization with offices across the US, Europe, and South America.  In 2019 our client was recognized on the INC 5000 as one of the fastest-growing companies for the 6th consecutive year.

     

    Due to recent growth, they are seeking a Controller to manage growth and drive the company’s finance function to the next level.  The Controller will be responsible for all things financial, legal, and administrative and in addition, will play an important role in terms of defining and implementing internal systems, processes, and procedures to support their growth.  As a member of the Executive Team, the Controller will also contribute to company strategy and have input into the organization’s short and long-term goals.  Future growth path could include expanded responsibility and over time, growing to become the CFO.  Our client values hard work, professionalism, personal and professional growth, and being the best at what they do.

     

    The primary focus of the Controller will be to keep transactions and the back office flowing in a timely and accurate manner as well providing reporting and dashboards to management to help the leadership team make well-informed decisions.

     

    What You’ll Tackle:

    • Monthly Billing – generation of monthly invoices
    • Entry and generation of product invoices
    • Cash Receipts Entry and Deposits to Bank
    • Client Deposit Management
    • Collections
    • AP -- vendor invoice entry, check processing, and vendor management
    • Credit card reconciliation
    • Month End Close
    • Forecasting & Budgets
    • Bank Reconciliation
    • Payroll – process Payroll with ADP and enter into the accounting system
    • Cash Management
    • Monthly Financial Package and ad hoc reports as needed by management
    • Key Metrics, Scorecards, and Dashboards
    • Manage staff travel
    • Oversee and manage office
    • HR & Benefits administration (401k, Health Plans, etc.)
    • Liaise with outside CPA as needed
    • Special Projects and Research as needed
    • Miscellaneous admin tasks as needed to meet company goals
    • Implementation of more streamlined systems to support growth

     

    What’s Needed to Win:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5+ years’ experience with at least 2 years in an accounting leadership position, supervising others
    • Prior experience in a software or professional services company (a plus)
    • Experience with MAS90/Sage 100 ERP or similar (preferred)
    • Significant attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively prioritize work and produce results with a sense of urgency
    • Manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
