About the Role:

Soundside Masonry Inc is looking for a skilled Brick/Block Mason to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA! This is a hands-on role where your craftsmanship will shape lasting structures across residential projects. Responsibilities:

Lay and bind brick, block, and other masonry materials to construct and repair walls, foundations, and structures

Mix mortar and grout to proper consistency and apply to joints and surfaces

Cut and shape brick and block using saws, chisels, and hand tools

Inspect completed work to ensure alignment, levelness, and structural integrity

Collaborate with foremen and crew members to meet project timelines and quality standards

Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA safety regulations

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Brick Mason, Block Mason, or similar masonry trade role

Proficiency with masonry tools, equipment, and materials

Transportation to and from job sites (Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Southern VA Beach, Norfolk)

Strong knowledge of mortar mixing, troweling techniques, and joint finishing

Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work outdoors, and stand for extended periods

Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship

Valid driver's license preferred; reliable transportation to job sites required
