    CONTENT EDITOR JD :

    Turn 10 Studios, developers of Forza Motorsport, have an exciting opportunity for an Editor to join our development team and help us create world-class automotive game experiences.

    We are looking for a highly organized individual with excellent written and communication skills to perform editing passes on our game scripts, fill a critical role in the localization pipeline, and bring the quality of our games to the next level.

    YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • 2-3 years working as an Editor and/or Writer for US – English
    • Previous experience with localization tools preferred.
    • Experience working with EN-UK preferred.
    • ProForce is a plus
    • Be proficient with documentation and presentation software such as Word and Excel.
    • Able to work under pressure, our game is under short deadlines for this assignment.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Enthusiastic, positive, and team oriented.
    • A passion for developing high quality games!

    PORTFOLIO IS A PLUS THAT SHOWS THEIR WRITING AND EDITING SKILLS

    DEGREES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Bachelor's degree in Literature, Languages, Writing or similar.

    DISQUALIFIERS

    Cannot demonstrate writing samples and/or spelling errors on resume

    BEST VS. AVERAGE

    The ideal candidate would have previous writing and/or editing experience.

    Localization pipeline must be met – deliverables are being completed in a timely manner.

    TYPICAL DAY IN THE ROLE( FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING)

    • Conduct content editing passes on game script and UI strings, in partnership with design.
    • Reviewing check ins from content team and completing editing test to ensure it fits the format that is required
    • Coordinate with our geopolitical and licensing department to get all written content vetted.
    • Keep an eye on localization efforts to ensure consistency and thorough translation of all the written material of the game.
    • Reviewing scripts to highlight and flag potential risks for review.
    • Transcribing audio recordings to create an “as recorded” script following voice over recording sessions.
    • Correcting punctuation and grammar for use in subtitles.
    • Manage a production gate between the development team and localization.
