    Bridge Coordination Services, LLC (BCS) is currently seeking applicants for a part time position to serve in the role of Victim Coordinators. BCS Victim Coordinators provide direct services to victims of crime, primarily those experiencing intimate partner and family or household member violence.

    BCS Victim Coordinators work closely as a liaison between law enforcement agencies, victims of crime and prosecution services in order to bridge the information gap for those impacted by harm. Services provided include developing resource materials, providing referrals to community-based programs, providing criminal case related updates and information to assist victims as they walk through the criminal justice process.

    BCS Victim Coordinators work alongside law enforcement personnel, investigative units, and prosecutors to ensure victims of crime have a voice in the criminal justice process.

    In addition to providing direct services to victims of crime, BCS Victim coordinators also participate in various law enforcement related community engagement programs, community trainings, and law enforcement personnel training.

    Victim Coordinators provide a variety of services to include the following:

    Support, empower, educate, and assist victims through the criminal justice system process. Provide information about criminal justice procedures, victim’s rights, updates on case status and appear with victims at hearings as deemed necessary.

    Provide case management including safety planning, emergency resources, housing and shelter resources, connection to support services, assistance obtaining interpreter services, legal assistance, and transportation. Serve as liaison between victims and other social service agencies.

    Engagement in Trauma informed practices.

    Coordinate engagement between crime victims and investigators working on a criminal case.

    Provide case related follow-up as necessary.

    Respond to telephone and walk-in requests.

    Provide information, court process and documents for victims to obtain protection orders.

    Provide thorough communication and case documentation.

    Develop strong and effective working relationships with the law enforcement personnel and Prosecutors.

    Facilitate ongoing partnerships between each law enforcement agency served, regional victim services agencies and other community resources to promote and secure the rights of victims in the aftermath of the crime.

    Maintain case files, records, and track statistics related to each case.

    Provide training to law enforcement, community, and other community professionals on victim services.

    Compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports for review.

    Development of agency specific informational materials.

    ***On occasion, this position may require availability outside of established work hours.

    Needed skills:

    Effective communication skills, clear and concise writing skills, and ability to collaborate with others.

    Ability to effectively work within diverse communities.

    A willingness to learn various aspects of the criminal justice system, police procedure, criminal law and working with victims of crime.

    Ability to handle multiple tasks, assignments, and case follow-up.

    Must be organized and able to be flexible to respond to emergent cases.

    Ability to use computers with Microsoft Office products and general office equipment.

    Willingness to attend additional training courses and seminars (which may fall outside regularly scheduled work hours)

    Hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9-2:30

    Total of 15 hrs per week
