We are currently looking for an experienced and talented SR. ACCOUNTANT.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the month end close process for designated legal entities. The position requires the ability to work independently, was well as, in a team environment. It is deadline driven and fast paced. This position will report directly to the Controller.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the full cycle month end close process including journal entries, account reconciliations and expense analysis
• Prepare intercompany expense allocations and monthly accruals • Ability to research variances and make corrective entries
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation
• Assist in preparing personal property tax and business license filings
• Review accounts payable batches for accuracy of coding
• Assist with gathering documents for annual audit
• Other duties and projects as needed
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
• 7 - 10 years progressive Accounting experience
• 4-year college degree
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (preferred)
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
