    Bridge Marina, located on beautiful Lake Hopatcong (and Sandy Hook, NJ), is on the lookout for a dedicated team member for our "Boating Support Specialist" position in Lake Hopatcong. Our team is comprised of enthusiastic and welcoming individuals who are passionate about providing safe and enjoyable experiences on the water. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional boating experiences to our valued guests and boaters.

    As the Boating Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a fantastic time on the water. Your responsibilities will extend across various departments, including Sales, Service, Operations and Administration. We are looking for someone seeking a dynamic and versatile role that enjoys both customer-facing and administrative skills.

    Key duties include:

    Guest Engagement: Greeting and assisting guests in person, as well as through email, phone, or text in effort to advance guest relationships and development. Assisting with guest satisfaction projects.

    Team Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues in Sales, Service, and Operations to deliver top-notch services and support to our guests.

    Sales Support: Assisting with guest development, communication, and customer service projects and administrative support of sales contracts and support documents.

    Service Support: assisting with communication to service guests, including light technical communication, administrative support of contracts, invoicing, and documentation. Assisting service team or guests with boats, trailers, or vehicles.

    Operations Support: aiding rental, training, club and slip guests with scheduling, questions, directions, as well as supporting administrative tasks of guest documents and or fleet management.

    Management Support: Supporting Managers with various projects, initiatives and or tasks to aid all departments and overall success of company.

    Administrative Oversight: Maintaining organization of the office and reception area, including materials management and paperwork administration. Assisting or managing administrative projects including basic bookkeeping of accounts.

    Patience, Empathy, Tenacity, and Self-Awareness: These qualities are valuable for handling various demands and challenging situations.

    Mechanical Awareness and the Ability to Communicate Technical Concepts in Plain Language: While important, these skills are more specific to the role and can be developed with training.

    An Interest in Working on and Around the Water with Boats and Boaters.

    Proficiency and interest in using phones, text, email, and web-based tools (experience with QuickBooks, Office 365, Cytracom is advantageous, we provide training).

    Requirements:

    Solid foundation of boating expereince to ensure comfort around boats and the marina.

    2 years of customer service experience.

    2 years of administration experience.

    1 year of experience with Office 365, QuickBooks, multi-line phone systems, or equivalent.

    A valid and clean automobile driver’s license.

    Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

    This position is located at Lake Hopatcong, NJ. The role is based in an office/retail environment; however, you will find yourself elsewhere in the marina, on boats and docks, and on the water. This position is a full-time year-round position with opportunity for advancement and growth. We provide health care benefits, retirement plan with company contributions, paid vacation, paid sick time, team events, and opportunity for additional rewards and perks such as boating access, winter holiday breaks, and more. The schedule is full time, typically Tuesday-Saturday with occasional weekend, alternate days, or evening hours. Compensation is commensurate with experience. The hourly wage for this role is $18-$22 per hour, or an equivalent annual compensation of $37,000-$46,000 per year plus potential incentives.
