    We are seeking new members for the Operations Team in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. At Bridge Marina you will enjoy the outdoors, working with boats on the water, helping friendly guests and prospects who are generally happy to see you.     You will be in an active marina environment, with boats and boaters on a regular basis. Your role will help and support a friendly roster of boaters’ looking for a safe and enjoyable time on the water. You will be caring for a well-maintained fleet and marina. You will be learning from others and performing on a team daily. You will receive significant support, as well as training in our processes, marina systems, boat handling skills, customer service and more. Working in a marina, particularly at Bridge Marina, is likely unlike other roles and businesses.     Some responsibilities are:

    Helping guests come and go from the marina by land or by water by carrying items, covering boats, landing boats, and similar.

    Communicating with guests and teammates to determine needs and then acting to support them.

    Basic boat care such as covering, cleaning, vacuuming, polishing, relocating, preparation for day or season, etc.

    General tasks and checklists to ensure boats and marina are maintained, clean and safe.

    Tasks such as checking boats for condition and equipment, support of boat service, pumping gas, working with a register, boat recommission and decommissioning, and maintaining the facility.

    For advanced applicants, or tasks you will learn as you advance:

    Operating boats in the marina or elsewhere on the water body.

    Providing orientations for boaters.

    Operating marina vehicles, tractors and trailers or performing mechanical tasks.

    Guest sales and or advanced guest development

    Overseeing other teammates or projects, leading shifts, and management of day to day.

    Teamwork experience or skills

    Boating experience or similar

    Requirements

    An interest and desire to work on the water with boats and boaters.

    Customer service experience or similar

    Boating Certificate and 1-year boating experience

    Valid and clean automobile driver’s license.

    Ability to swim.

    Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen.

    This position is in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. The role is primarily outdoors in the marina, on boats and docks, and on the water, however, you may find yourself occasionally working inside as well. We are seeking teammates who can work weekends and holidays as that is the nature of this work. We are seeking both part-time and full-time seasonal, and full-time, year-round applicants.

    The hourly wage for this role is $15-$18 per hour plus gratuities, or for full-time year-round teammates an equivalent annual compensation of $31,000-$37,000 per year plus incentives. Advancement and increases are available and are encouraged to competent teammates. Additional seasonal ‘Retention Incentives’ may range up to $1,000 or more!
