    This second-generation women owned and operated family store has continued to grow through the years and is embarking on a major remodel to meet the needs of our clientele for the coming decade. We are looking for a full-time on site ACCOUNTANT/BOOKKEEPER WITH AN HR BACKGROUND.

    SALARY IS NEGOTIABLE BASED UPON EXPERIENCE

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Handle daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial responsibilities including –

    • Preparation of daily sales/revenue/AR report

    • Recording revenue, expense, purchase order and AP information into Quickbooks

    • Prepare time and commission data to process in 3rd party payroll service

    • Reconciliation of AR, AP, credit card and cash accounts

    • Prepare semimonthly cash report and use of funds

    • Cut all checks, ACH payments except payroll

    • Review financial statements and prepare entries as needed for monthly closings

    • Prepare monthly sales tax reports

    • Plan, direct, assist and review quarterly physical inventory

    • Provide accurate, timely information and assistance to decision makers and to owners.

    • Create and analyze monthly Owners Report and review with Owner

    • Maintain HR files and handle other HR issues that arise occasionally

    • Ensure compliance with sales tax, liquor license and CO Dept of Labor regulations

    • Ensure data backups and financial data confidentiality

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Business acumen, knowledge about key business issues, and the skill to apply them to daily business

    • An excellent, positive and flexible attitude

    • Willingness to learn and contribute in multiple ways

    • Intermediate Excel skills

    • Work experience in accounting

    • Thorough understanding of financial statements

    • Keen interest in analytics and analysis

    • Some academic training in accounting is required.

    • Experience in Integrated POS, Inventory and CRM Systems and IT knowledge related to a small business is a plus
