    THE ROLE:

    The ASSOCIATE SYSTEMS TEST ENGINEER will be a part of the product engineering team, supporting the development of air, sea, land, and space laser optical communication systems for BridgeComm and its' customers. The primary role of this position is to develop and implement test procedures to validate the functional and performance requirements of the laser communication products to ensure system level requirements are being met.

    WORK LOCATION:Denver, Colorado - Hybrid remote work environment

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Generate and manage test plans and test cases as part of a product development model
    • Document testing and report test results
    • Ensure adherence to an established testing process which emphasizes traceability between product requirements and test results
    • Further develop testing methods and way of working
    • Facilitates the development of new and improved tools for system testing on embedded systems, including ways to simulate aircraft inputs
    • Create and execute manual and automated system test cases during development based on agile principles
    • Managing and tracking bugs/anomalies and verifying bug fixes
    • Maintain test environments and hardware test walls
    • Ensure the inclusion of product safety guidelines during all test development activities and apply safe working principles both in personal action and in prototype product testing
    • Provide on-site support of commissioning activities for new and current product development
    • Understand databases, how they are populated, queried, and data is managed into useful information for the projects
    • Understand ICD's and be able to use COTS products and possibly integrate them into our system
    • Understand End to End system data flows to validate data
    • Support lab and field testing and demonstrations
    • Work with the engineering team to collaborate on development, problem solving, testing, and manufacturing

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

    • Fundamentals of System Assembly, Integration and Test.

    • Fundamentals of Systems Engineering.

    • Use ofTest Measurement Tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power meters etc.)

    • Ability to write automated tests using scripts or code.

    • Scripting or coding knowledge (python, C/C++,bash etc).

    • Knowledge of how to analyze data, plot and interpret test results.

    • Knowledge of how to troubleshoot anomalies (failed test) and determine root cause.

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

    • Use of Matlab for test data analysis / trending.
    • SQL Database setup and use (postgres etc.).
    • Oral and written communication skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • New Grad or up to 1 years of relevant experience in Systems or Test Engineering

    EDUCATION:

    • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • HIRING SALARY RANGE:$75,000 -105,000 annual

      • Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
