    Apartment Community Maintenance Technician Job Description

    Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing various maintenance functions that are necessary to maintain and enhance the value of our community. This includes, but is not limited to, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, grounds keeping, painting, carpentry, etc. Electrical and plumbing experience is necessary. We strive not just to meet but exceed the expectations of our residents.

    The Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in managing the daily operations at assigned community. Tasks included however not limited to:

    Ability to provide high level of customer service

    Maintains professionalism

    Ability to communicate with supervisor and management

    Reports any emergency situation to supervisor/ management immediately

    Dependable

    Agrees to follow Corporate and Community policies and guidelines set forth in Employee Handbook

    · Provides basic hand tools

    · Hold valid drivers license and own transportation

    · Must possess general knowledge of repair to appliances, water heaters, toilets, electrical fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, painting and maintenance

    · Assist with grounds maintenance

    · Performing work order requests in a timely efficient manner

    · Assist in all facets of apartment make ready process: apartment turns: drains, caulking, plumbing, electrical etc.

    · Must be available for 24 hour emergency maintenance calls when scheduled on call/weekend and Holiday rotation

    · Must assist in preventative maintenance and or repairs that may arise

    · Snow removal/ salt/ plow

    · Move heavy equipment, appliances, etc.

    · Working one on one with the Maintenance Supervisor on projects i.e., repair roof (Shingles), cleaning out gutters, floor prep/tile instillation, removal/installation of large projects, and electrical issues.

    This is a full-time opportunity offers competitive pay commensurate with experience and bonuses. Benefits include generous paid vacation, sick time program, holiday pay, and 401K.
