    Chief Financial OfficerThe CFO will be responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial compliance, and financialreporting procedures of the foundation. With the foundation’s CEO and COO, the CFO will provideregular financial projections to help the CEO plan for the future. The CFO will also create and maintaina system of internal controls to ensure the appropriate use of funds across all the Foundation’s financialentities.

    Responsibilities● Join the Foundation’s senior leadership team to manage and optimize a growing and diverserevenue stream.● Ensure fiscal efficacy, accuracy, and reporting, and enhance systems and processes across theFoundation.● Manage all Foundation accounting and general ledgers for each of the Foundation’s financialentities.● Reconciliation of all Foundation ledgers to ensure accurate expense allocations.● Manage the processing of all accounting transactions including accounts payable andreceivable, grant and grantee payments.● Establish and maintain yearly budget to actuals for Foundation leadership.● Ensure financial compliance, reporting and record keeping for all Foundation grants, granteesand projects.● Create financial reports for bi-annual Board meetings and all grant reporting.● Liaise with grantees and project leads to create program-related record keeping and reportingfor internal and external communications.● Assist in financial bookkeeping, reporting, legal compliance, and preparation of annual taxreturns of a small, US-based 501c3 that benefits the Foundation’s international project partners.● Assist in building capacity of grantees in areas of financial bookkeeping, grant reporting andadministration capabilities.● Participate in the due-diligence, submission and vetting of various grant projects as part of apooled charitable fund with other foundations.● Participate in coordinating with grantees and work on the creation and review of MOUs withpartners.● Spearhead the scoping of potential projects, create budget and budget narratives, liaising withemployees based in the US and abroad.

    Qualifications● Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, M&A or Business Management● Ideally CPA accredited● 8+ years of work experience in Finance, Accounting, or Operations.● Ideally experience in the full cycle of startup, growth, and development of a company or NGO.● Extensive experience in financial compliance for non-profits and/or businesses● Demonstrate executive leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence with the ability tomotivate staff.● Experience with government grants and financial reporting to US government preferred, but notnecessary.● Expert experience with accounting systems, technology, KPI reporting, and business acumen● High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and accountingsoftwares (Quickbooks etc).● Expert level of written and verbal communication skills and high initiative for reporting andupdating.● High level of professional discretion, trustworthiness, confidentiality.
