    Summary

    This position is a Global Sourcing Buyer working in a support role to the Operations Manager and Global Sourcing team. Candidate will bring their combination of education, experience, and skills to elevate the activities of the Global Sourcing group.

    Essential Duties

    · Collects and analyzes industry data, reviewing available information with associates.

    · Continues positive professional relationship with company stakeholders both external and internal.

    · Performs data and document tasks as necessary to support the expansion of the Global Sourcing group.

    Job Duties

    · Provides direct support to Management and team associates.

    · Works with international vendors on raw material contacts.

    · Reviews bid & offer analysis with sourcing group.

    · Collects and records agricultural data for traded commodities.

    · Provides summary reports of collected agricultural data to global souring & commercial groups.

    · Supports global sourcing group with stakeholder support.

    · Supports vendor relations through positive business interactions.

    · Supports documentation creation, recording, filing and retention for internal and external reporting.

    · Other duties as assigned.

    Education & Experience

    Undergraduate degree with Agriculture, Business, Economics or Accounting.

    Knowledge of agriculture & food practices, direct experience preferred.

    Global exposure with agriculture &/or food products.

    Conceptual Understanding:

    Business Strategies, Agriculture food manufacturing, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Management, Business Law


    Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations

    This position does not require any certificate, licenses and/or Registrations.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, detailed correspondence, and reports. Ability to write detailed correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Multilingual would be a positive.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as cost analysis, fundamental & technical market analysis, return on investment, budgets & financial reporting. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Computer Skills

    Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software.


    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
