    Brierton, Jones & Jones, LLP is a boutique law firm in San Diego focused on probate, trust and estate matters including estate planning, trust administration, probate, conservatorships, guardianships, and litigation. We are seeking a full-time legal secretary to join our litigation department. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, follows direction, takes initiative, is detail oriented, has an excellent work ethic, and a positive attitude. Qualifications: Professional demeanor and strong work ethic Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to proofread for substantive grammatical and spelling issues Have comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, Teams and Adobe DC Strong typing and Word formatting skills Problem-solving and analytical skills; management of priorities and workflow Ability to effectively work independently and as a member of a team Prior relevant experience (preferred) High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Responsibilities: Communicate with clients, colleagues, attorneys, and others, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner Maintain and organize electronic and hard-copy files Proactively maintain attorney's calendars by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, videoconferences, depositions, and travel; record and monitor court appearance dates and deadlines Assisting with general clerical duties, including answering the phone, filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing as needed Preparing, revising, and formatting legal documents (e.g., pleadings, discovery, motions) Identify urgent tasks and prioritize time accordingly Provide clerical support for document production and filings Provide administrative support to attorneys Compensation commensurate with experience. Training will be provided.
