Job Description
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT BRIGHTBIRD IT:
Provide necessary desktop/laptop support for BrightBird IT clients. Desktop/laptop support tasks including configurations, phone system support, software and hardware inventory control, patch management and mobile device support.
- Desktop Support: Provide user required desktop support; image, configure, maintain and patch desktops/laptops
- Manage user accounts, Active Directory, and Office 365
- Software and Hardware Management: Provide hardware and software inventory management of all IT systems (servers/desktops). Track and maintain required licensing
- Phone System Support: Provide general user support for the phone system; Troubleshooting, add/remove users, and basic configuration of the phone system
- Manage Network Hardware: Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Monitor network hardware including printers and laboratory workstations
- Deployment and Testing of Patches and Critical updates: Manage desktop images and patching of all desktops/laptops/servers
- New Technology: Test and Evaluate new technology to better assist the business
- End Users Support: General end user and application support including assistance with deployment and maintenance as needed for applications such as ERP and document management
- Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree in computer science or related discipline; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position
- 3+ years of relevant experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ Years’ experience - Strong General hands-on Computer Skills, Networking, Security, Office Desktop Applications, Desktop/Laptop Support
- Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Windows and MAC environment
- Familiarity with PowerShell, VBScript or equivalent scripting language
- Knowledge and experience in centrally managing Computers and Users settings using Group Policy Objects
- Familiarity with current and emerging technologies, products and standards in support of the IT infrastructure
- Understands and applies best practices, policies and procedures; proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals
- Ability to conduct research in hardware and software issues and products as required
