BrightSign is looking for creative problem solvers to join our Quality Assurance team. BrightSign is the market leader in digital signage players: we develop hardware, software and networking solutions for the rapidly expanding industry of digital signage. Our solid-state digital sign controllers can be found across the globe in every conceivable vertical market application from entertainment to retail, transportation to hospitality, education to museums and attractions. BrightSign products set new standards in superior performance, video quality, reliability, affordability, ease of use, and interactivity. 

The individual should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms, diverse technologies and lab environments. The individual will work closely with software developers, project managers, support staff and customers to ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved.

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:

• Desire to solve real problems for real users
• Experience with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, developing and executing manual and automated test suites 
• Ability to work at both detailed and abstract levels
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in person
• Willingness and ability to create and adapt to new technologies
• Ability to launch new projects and follow through to completion
• Familiarity with Linux, .NET, PCs and Internet technologies
• Experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues
• Ability to solve problems creatively
• Comfortable working in a distributed team

DESIRED SKILLSET:

• Knowledge of audio and video standards and codecs
• Experience with networking
• Familiarity with audio and video streaming
• Experience working in a variety of programming languages and environments , for example: JavaScript, HTML5, Visual Basic, Python, PH
• Working knowledge of some or all of the following quality assurance methods: unit, integration, regression, user interface, automated testing
• Experience testing web-based enterprise applications
• Browser- and server-side test automation
• 4+ years familiarity with the BrightSign ecosystem.
