Scheduler Responsibilities:
Assists with answering the phones, including the intake of new clients and informs potential clients of our services and reasons to utilize BrightStar over other agencies
Lead scheduling team
Assist with the scheduling and care coverage – supports and uses all technology tools and resources to ensure proper business processes; schedules staff to meet client care needs and minimize non-billed overtime; ensures assigned staff are properly trained and available as needed
Works on a team responsible for scheduling caregivers and communicate with clients
Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
Shares the field staff on-call phone, including some weekend call
If interested, additional hours available working in the field with clients
Scheduler Requirements:
Minimum six months scheduling experience
Administrative experience
Valid driver’s license
Valid state required proof of auto insurance
CPR certified
Home Care Aide Registration, or willing to be registered
Good time management skills A MUST
Excellent communication skills, both verbal/written required
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare office regulations
Great organization, planning, and creative thinking skills required
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, detail-orientated tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
Ability to communicate professionally to common inquiries from students, staff or employers regarding internship requirements and overall process Strong understanding of computer applications, especially database systems
