    Job Description

    IT DATA ENGINEER

    As an IT Data Engineer, you will develop modern data pipelines to meet key business objectives. In this role you will organize, prioritize tasks, resolve technical issues, and demonstrate proactive thinking skills. You must have some understanding and experience building scalable data platforms. The Data Warehouse team uses a wide range of technical skills, including ETL tools like Informatica, Python, HADOOP/HIVE, Spark, BigQuery, Snowflake, so you should have some familiarity with some or most of these.

    AS A DATA ENGINEER, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Design and implement ETL processes and controls to ingest, organize, curate large volumes of data from variety of sources
    • Design ETL workflows for Data Warehouse/Data Mart/Data Lake 
    • Evaluate business needs and objectives
    • Conduct complex data analysis
    • Develop, analyze, and maintain datasets
    • Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
    • Build re-usable code, components and services that incorporate versioning, reconciliation, and exception handling
    • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Qualifications

    WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field
    • At least 1 year of progressive experience in designing, developing, and deploying Data warehouse and Big Data solutions
    • At least 1 year of experience in programming languages (e.g., Java and Python)
    • Hands on experience with SQL database design, designing, building, and supporting real-time and batch data pipeline and analytical solutions 
    • Good communication skills, and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to drive actionable insights that facilitate cross-functional initiatives and business outcomes
    • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
    • Experience analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to solve complex technical problems
    • Good knowledge of data design patterns, principles, and practices
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and support a scalable data platform
