    Job Description

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer- ServiceNow- Case Management to lead E2E system solutions for the Brightspeed telecom suite of applications. As a key leader on our IT team, you will be responsible for system solutions in the areas of order fulfillment orchestration, inventory, provisioning, and billing domains. In this exciting role, you will be challenged with the opportunity to lead the team in every aspect of the customer order fulfillment process across the entire order provisioning life cycle. 

    As Principal Software Engineer- ServiceNow- Case Management you will have a deep technical background in building scalable solutions to support complex business processes. If you are passionate about leading a team in migrating applications in the Order Fulfillment space, performing efficient execution, and delivering operational excellence, Brightspeed would be the perfect place for you! 

    AS THE PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ENGINEER- SERVICENOW- CASE MANAGEMENT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:   

    • Defining the roadmap, understanding the E2E process in migrating provisioning applications from one platform to another, leading the team to achieve the business goals, and identifying solutions for any problems that come on the way operationally 

    • Leading the team for the solutions put forth by Architects for optimal performance, scalability, and stability 

    • Defining processes and ensuring the team follows the process to meet the KPIs set forth for the team 

    • Working closely with the senior management, analyzing long-term business goals, and suggesting ways the organization might achieve these goals with technology 

    • Guiding others to assess system usage trends and identifying potential performance constraints with inter-system processes.

    WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: 

    • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent 

    • 8+ Years of Experience as ServiceNow Developer

    • Basic understanding of Telecommunication Order Fulfillment Process.

    • Should have the strong knowledge on ServiceNow Telecommunication Service Management Data Model and Process

    • Should have strong knowledge on creating custom and complex workflows using flow designer

    • Should be able to customize scripted REST APIs in ServiceNow

    • Requires customization of Agent Workspace in UI Builder

    • Should have worked on integrating ServiceNow with third party tools

    • Should develop external application integrations using Integration Hub

    • Basic knowledge on Kafka Consumer

    • Should have expertise on writing Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies and Script Includes

    • Should have the knowledge on ServiceNow ACL

    • Should have the knowledge on ServiceNow Orchestration, REST services and JSON.

    • Additional Value - Certified System Administrator Certification (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS – ITSM)

    • Knowledge on JavaScripting, HTML, CSS

    • Must be able to clearly communicate technical and business concepts clearly to the appropriate audiences

    • Skills in problem solving; including the ability to identify and appropriately evaluate a course of action

    • Ability to learn and understand new business concepts, technologies, processes, and practices

    • Ability to act independently and with a global team on routine assignments or program/projects

    • Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner

    • Ability to balance an endless number of personalities and have the capacity to understand their individual needs
