Brightsped has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, IT Network Engineering Systems to join our rapidly growing team! As Manager, IT Network Engineering Systems you will oversee evaluation, design, documentation, installation, implementation, testing, and performance for IT Network Planning and Construction systems. You will work closely with business and network experts to ensure alignment of new systems with network designs and go-to-market strategies. You will ensure IT network system solutions integrate strategically into downstream workflows for IT provisioning and inventory systems.

As Manager, IT Network Engineering Systems, your responsibilities will include:

• Building a new team of software developers, testers, and support personnel to enhance, support, and maintain the Engineering systems at Brightspeed
• Balancing priorities from multiple areas and finding innovative IT solutions to business problems
• Assisting business partners by identifying opportunities for automation and bringing efficiencies to processes
• Creating interfaces for intake of legacy copper data for address management platform and fiber design modelling
• Creating real time API’s for downstream systems to consume address and network information from Fiber build
• Driving the addition of features to address management and fiber design systems to enable new areas Open for Sale
• Building and supporting Google Cloud Platform instances of engineering systems
• Planning and execution for migration of legacy engineering systems to new Brightspeed systems architecture
• Working closely with vendor partners to manage progress on solutions development and drive rapid progress

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

• Bachelor’s degree in network technology/ engineering
• 8+ years of experience driving software development and architecting IT solutions
• 2+ years of experience with address validation and service qualification concepts
• Firm grasp of networking concepts including Fiber and PON networks
• Ability to understand and explain complex technical information
• Hands on experience with system automation tools and technologies
• Collaborative, team builder with strong communication skills, ability to negotiate, often at higher levels
• Experience managing a team of employees and consultants to drive solution delivery
• Project management skills
• Detailed knowledge of DTAP network architecture
• PMP certification
